I am always so caught by your eloquence and rigorous acuity you give to your writing. You are an inspiration, honestly! It is so difficult to drill down the way you do and it is funny, interesting, relevant and revealing in equal measure. Thank you Phil, sending you many Blessings! Namaste 🙏✨🕉️🦋🌼

Such an insightful reflection, Phil! These are my favorite posts of yours. I’m impressed by the depth that you bring to each card and how you consider every corner of it and how it connects to your story.

The seven of cups, in general, feels like a card that depicts adolescence. My child & adolescent development professor calls this period “leaving the oatmeal house” and being bombarded with the world and the need to differentiate and individualize. It’s the time where we seek to construct our identities, and sometimes the choices can feel shiny, spectacular, and overwhelming.

Hiya Patty 👋🏽

I’m really happy to read that you enjoy these posts, thank you very much for following and commenting on their story 🙏🏽

That’s a fascinating way of looking at 7C, too! I’ve never considered that way of looking at it, which adds a wonderful maturity to a card that is often seen as being simply confused and unfocused. Gonna sit with that for sure… Thanks 🙏🏽😊

Thank you for that very personal reflection on youth and those energetic qualities that define our first attempts at maturation and desire. How useful tarot is at looking backward, finding new and interesting ways to knit our story together. And perhaps be kinder on ourselves now that we may have been then. A tortured poet then; a gentle thinking man now. One who can surface the awkward difficult stuff and find humor and wisdom.

Thank you very much for this lovely piece of feedback, it is very much appreciated 🙏🏽

I have been finding that Tarot has taught me a lot during this short series of posts, and am feeling already that certain themes are emerging from this trawl through my youth that I had only half guessed at. Yes, kindness is so important, especially in a world that expects self-castigation in recognition of folly, unintended or not… I am perfectly able to do that when needed 😀 but this part of my life just needed a hug, y’know?

Thank you for your summation, it is wonderfully generous, and I am moved by it… 🙏🏽😊🕯️
