I have to say it has been more enlightening than I expected... but, of course, it has also brought up some stuff that it wouldn't be appropriate to post here... so you may want to be feeling robust when you do it 😀
This was such a great read, thanks for sharing Phil! I really appreciate the mix of deep reflective storytelling with some humor mixed in about life life-ing. The queen of pentacles showing up twice to represent your mother is powerful! And we share some attributes i.e the perfectionism…something I’m working on!
Thanks for stopping by, Patty, and for your lovely comments, too! Yes, that Queen of Pentacles really jumped out at me when I pulled these cards... and the fact that her confidence seemed to grow along with me.
Ah... perfectionism... it can be challenging can't it? I have half an idea about doing a reading on this very thing... I think Tarot might have some interesting stuff to say about it :-D
When it sneaks in….here I am thinking I have it all figured out and later realize I’m falling in my perfectionistic patterns again. It’s specially hard when I make a relational mistake (rather than a work or school mistake), I’m my biggest critic 🥲
Thank you Phil for writing this post. I like this idea of pulling cards to stimulate retrospective reflection on various phases of life. This is going to be a new opportunity for me to try. Most of all I think that this is a wonderful way to illustrate the relationship one can have with the tarot. Thanks for your vulnerability to share this series with us.
Hi Shawn, lovely to e-meet you and read your generous feedback above, which is very much appreciated, thank you for stopping by, reading, and commenting :-)
I love the idea of pulling cards for overall periods of your life! I’ll have to do that. That’s what is so great about tarot, is that it can help you process things in a way that not much else can. This is also fun to read, after having done your destiny card! When I read “a 98% mark for a Technical Drawing examination,” I’m thinking, of course, you’re the Jack of Clubs! ♣️
Ah, I'm glad you found it fun to read, and, of course, having done my destiny card you'll have seen the match I missed whilst trying to keep my head above draft 5! 😀
I recommend it, I am learning a lot about myself, which was the object of this to begin with, and you may find the same, too! 🕯️
I am always astounded to read how honest, pure and forensic you are not only in your account of your upbringing but also with the tarot. Thank you! I learn a lot from you and thoroughly enjoy your writing. Blessings 🙏✨✨
What a lovely compliment, Tom, thanks very much... I always really appreciate your support, especially on such a personal type of post as this one, which I get quite nervous about posting 😅
What a fascinating idea, I may be brave enough to try this...
We of course, have several things in common. lol

Ooo please do!! I’d be very interested in reading it! So, so challenging. It pops up when you least expect it, it feels like.
Yes, I think it's time! 😄 Can I ask you when it challenges you most?

Hmmm... Thank you 🤔

Fascinating process Phil! I'm enjoying your illuminating journey. 💡x
Bless you! You'll start recognising some of it soon 😀 I'm really glad you're enjoying it 😘
Yes, I thought I might...
I've never really been attracted much to tarot (as you know), but this process appeals a lot. Brave of you to go public too!
so glad you chose the tarot factory!
Yes, it took a while, but I found it in the end! Thanks for reading and for such a lovely comment :-)
Brilliant. Our dads do sound similarly...supportive.
Hmmm... similar experience, huh? 🤔
You bet. That's where sarcasm comes from.
